SWIM & LEARN - PRE-PRIMARY GROUP
THE SWIM AND LEARN CONCEPT
One of the basic goals of Stilianos is the development of preventive abilities and skills embedded in movement. Building on that, we developed Swim and Learn topics as a continuance of SHD trainings.
Children learn to swim while they gain necessary bacis knowedlge for successful school beginning; their attention, memory, partiality structure and thinking, great and subtle movement, drawing skills, expanding knowledge, vocabulary, expressiveness is developing.
The technique is unique, even targeted water education is new, but it is unequaled in combination with swimming lessons
You also have again the possibility with the Swim and Learn training series beside the development of sub-capacity and broadening children knowledge, to recognise assumed differences, difficulties, that the teacher and the parent recognize as well, and if they prove to be more serious, the child can get help in time, well before schooling.
THE COUNTRIES FIRST PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL TRAINING IN WATER!
The taining series based on 45 minutes sessions is split in 2 age groups. It was worked out for 4-5 years olds and 5-7 years old children. It has partly repetitive parts but still entrenched, with structured task lines. According to the order of the school year, the group class series Swim and Learn typically starts in autumn. Depending on the number of applicants, we will start extra groups in spring, where the transition can take place for children of swimming age. We process 12 topics in a single season, 4 to 4 repetitions, with increasingly complex, interdependent, buildt on each other tasks. Learning about topics is supported by cards, exercises and drawing tasks that can be used in water.
At each training, there are a minimum of 4 water assignments alternating with swimming lessons. We use so-called workstations to complete the task in a smooth way, with a place for everything.
The lesson is supplemented by a workbook, which can be filled in at home, in which topics and tasks are structured in the same system as in swimming pool sessions.
We provide parents with an explanation of Priority Development Areas and targets.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PRESENCE OF PARENTS
Children like the SHD trainings participate in the sessions with parents, because the quality time is important at this age as well .
Parents can monitor their development, they get to know their abilities and skills- at what part their child needs further help, home supplement, practice or more. Beside all of that they are taking part at the swimming training of their child, as in the old times it was the same.
